An Exciting New Way to Eat Fruit

A fruit-based frozen experience for students, brought to schools.

The idea

Fruit. Reimagined.

Fruiticana starts with fruit, then creates a cold, smooth frozen experience students already understand as a treat. It was originally introduced as Cream-Less Ice Crème.

Something Students Can Get Excited About

Another way to enjoy fruit — one that feels like a treat.

Why Fruiticana

What if kids wanted the fruit?

Instead of only telling children they should eat fruit, Fruiticana asks how the experience can be exciting enough that they may actually want it.

What if fruit could become something students look forward to?

That question is why Fruiticana was created. This is our vision, not a guaranteed change in what students choose.

Start young

Foods we meet young can stay with us.

Some foods stay with us because we first learned to enjoy them as children. Fruiticana’s vision is to introduce a positive experience with fruit during childhood that may continue as students grow.

Give students an enjoyable experience with fruit today, with the hope that their appreciation for fruit continues tomorrow.

Why bring Fruiticana into schools?

Children spend a significant part of their day at school. Instead of waiting for families to discover Fruiticana somewhere else, the vision is to introduce the experience directly within schools — a place where students can discover another way to enjoy fruit. Schools are not merely a distribution channel. They are where students already are.

Made for schools

Bring Fruiticana to your students.

Under the proposed model, Fruiticana brings the equipment and stays with the school. This is not a claim that Fruiticana is on menus today.

Figures and steps below describe Fruiticana’s proposed standard school setup. They are not a claim that Fruiticana is on school menus today.

  • Fruiticana provides the machines

Under the proposed model, Fruiticana supplies the serving equipment. The school does not purchase the machines.

  • Fruiticana maintains the equipment

Fruiticana remains involved after installation: maintaining and servicing the machinery so the program can keep functioning.

  • Fruiticana stays involved in serving

This is a hands-on partnership. Fruiticana does not simply drop off equipment and leave cafeteria staff responsible for everything.

Fruiticana provides and maintains the equipment and stays involved in operating the program.

Connecticut school programs

We've Been in Connecticut Schools Before

Research and development began around 2003. Company documentation reports that about 30,000 consumers sampled the idea. Fruiticana then participated in the Connecticut Team Nutrition Healthy Snack pilot and was later supplied to participating local Connecticut schools.

This is historical participation. It is not a current state, USDA, or school-district endorsement.

Today the original idea is being brought back so students can have an exciting new way to eat fruit — through a proposed school partnership built around equipment Fruiticana provides and stays involved with.
